Samba Lado is a receptive travel agency that offers tailor-made private tours in Indonesia.
Description of our tours
Our tours are private and tailor-made. We design each tour after discussions via email or phone with the traveler to make it as close as possible to their expectations.
Our tours are generally offered with breakfast included, along with some lunches and dinners, but it is possible to request a half-board or full-board package.
Accommodation Services: since the hotels offerings in Sumatra are not very developed, we do our best to select decent and charming accommodations when possible. Most accommodations do not have air conditioning but have fans (except in major cities), and some do not have hot water. Wi-Fi is not available in remote areas. We cannot guarantee the availability of accommodations between the time the tour proposal is sent and the payment of the deposit.
If accommodation is no longer available (especially during July and August), we will offer alternative accommodations of a similar category.
Transport: tours are provided with a private air-conditioned vehicle and driver. We can also use ferries, motorbike taxis, bicycles, canoes, speedboats, fishing boats, or even internal flights with local airlines.
Guide: you will be accompanied by an English-speaking or French-speaking guide upon request (please specify when requesting a quote). Requests for French-speaking guides in July and August should be made as early as possible, as we do not guarantee their availability without advance reservations. A tour with a driver (neither English nor French-speaking or with very basic English) is possible.
Confirmation and down payment
To confirm, a simple written confirmation via email from you is enough.
At the time of confirmation and payment of the deposit, Samba Lado confirms the trip and commits to providing the reserved services and amenities. We require a deposit corresponding to 30% of the total trip cost to secure your reservation and, in turn, make a deposit to our various service providers.
Payment of the deposit is requested to be made to Samba lado Wise bank account (European IBAN).
Payment by credit card is possible, but additional fees of 2% of the amount will be charged.
For last-minute bookings or bookings made less than 30 days before departure, you will need to pay the full amount of your trip
Balance payment
After paying the deposit, the balance must be paid at least 31 days before departure.

Cancellations et modifications
Cancellations :
- From the registration date to 60 days before departure: 30% of the total trip amount will be retained.
- From 30 to 20 days: 50% of the total amount will be retained.
- From 20 to 15 days: 80% of the total amount will be retained.
- Less than 15 days: 100% of the total amount will be retained.
Modifications :
f the trip is modified by the client, it will result in fees of €50 per person, plus additional fees if, for example, there is a last-minute change of hotel or itinerary. If there is a partial cancellation, such as the cancellation of one of the group members, the price will be recalculated among the remaining group members in agreement with all parties.
Passport and visa
Each traveler is responsible for checking the expiration date of their passport. The passport must be valid and remain so for 6 months after the planned return date. It must also be in good condition, without damage or wear (Indonesia is very strict about this).
Travelers must also check the visa requirements and the total validity period of their visa in Indonesia. Samba Lado is not responsible if travelers have to cancel their trip due to an expired passport or if they incur additional fees due to exceeding the allowed stay period in Indonesian territory (overstay).
Insurance
We recommend that you have insurance for your trip to Indonesia. A Covid-19 insurance is highly recommended for entry into Indonesia, covering on-site hospitalization costs and potential repatriation. Complaints
Any complaints/disputes regarding the tour or services sold must be addressed to Samba Lado via email or mail with attached documents to prove the dispute at the following address: contact@samba-lado.com or 4 square Lucien Rose, 35000 RENNES.
Applicable Law
Samba Lado CV is an Indonesian company, therefore subject exclusively to Indonesian law. The Samba Lado company in France acts as a travel broker, registered with the RCS of Rennes under number 892 435 843 and with the Siret number: 892 435 843 00024.
